Ratiba ya michezo -jamhuri ya muungano tanzania
[Shule zote za Msingi na Sekondari ziwe zimefungwa] -Wadhamini Benki zote, Tiggo, Vodacom na wauzaji petroli wote nchini.

DESEMBA [2008] Mashindano ya kupata mabingwa wa TARAFA katika michezo yote itakayochaguliwa. Wadhamini NSSF, PPF, Vyombo vyote vya habari, Zain na Zantel.

JANUARI [2009] Mashindano ya kupata mabingwa wa WILAYA katika michezo yote. Wadhamini Vyombo vyote vya uchukuzi reli na barabara, polisi wa usalama barabarani na sekta ndogo binafsi yote.

FEBRUARI [2009] Mashindano ya kupata mabingwa wa MKOA katika michezo yote. Wadhamini Mashirika yote ya Ndege, Machimbo ya Dhahabu na Almasi na Tanzanite na kadhalika.

MACHI [2009] Mashindano ya kupata mabingwa wa TAIFA katika michezo yote. Mdhamini -SERIKALI KUU: MFUKO WA MAENDELEO YA MICHEZO TANZANIA [MFUMAMITA]

- Mfuko huu utashibishwa na shilingi 10 toka makusanyo yote kwenye vituo vya ndege, mabasi na meli; Shilingi 10 toka kila lita ya peteroli na dizeli; shiligni 10 kutoka kwenye kila nauli ya daladala; pamoja na shilingi milioni 200 toka kila kampuni ya simu na migodi ya dhahabu, almasi na tanzanite nchini. Clerical works may become very tiresome, but with the use of computer, the works becomes well organised, simplified and less stressful.
The bike park. Plans are underway to build a better students' bike park where the bikes are going to be under good shade.
The school grounds have sand soils, but production committee are changing it to be productive and plant vegetables as seen here.
The production is hard, here students are plucking out a log.

INSPECTION DAY, evaluation meeting...




After the inspectors have finished their task, it was time for them to have an evaluation meeting with the school administration whereby, the school board chairman hon. Mr Hamza Rashid, Mr. Abubakar hariri, a member of the school board, Head Master Mr Ndauka, Second Master Mr Juma Mgunya and Mr Fredrick Mramba who is a senior academic master were the members of the meeting.

They stareted by explaining their observation, by giving the good things about the school.

1. That the school was found to have all administrative and academic documents and are in use.

2. The school has a live school board and that it is meeting accordingly and as required.

3. That there is all important meetings as directed, including board\meetings, parents

meeting,students government meetings and staff meetings.

4. The school has vision, mission, motto and the school song that refelects the vision and mission.

5. The school has beuatiful and cared for environment and congratulated the school for being

awarded a certificate of appreciation this year by being the best school under secondary

school category in Tanga city.

6.That the school has an active student government and which was democratically elected.

7. The school has a well prepared development plan and action plan.

8. That the school has 83% of qualified teachers whereas the remaining 17% is of those of

licenced teachers.

9. There is a very big effort to encourage students to use English in and outside the classrooms.

10.There is National flag, president's picture.

11. The school has efforts to improve the use of technology by having internet at the school,

having school website (http://www.toledo-school.com/) and this blog.


They also explained the shortcomings to be worked for in the near future.

1. There is shortage of non-teaching staff ( suport staff),secretary,watchmen,

storekeeper,attendants, office supervisor, lab.technician and librarian.

2. There is shortage of important buildings like assembly hall, library,geography room,computer

room and laboratories for science subjects.

3. There is acute shortage of laboratory equipments and chemicals.

4. There is an acute shortage of reference and text books.

6. There is indiscipline cases involving truancy and misbehaviour to some students.Suggestion

was made to improve guidance and counselling services within the school.

7. The school has no noticeable fence and that the land has no land lease document.

8. School has shortage of furnitures for students and staff.

After all these observation, they gave us the report that the school has scored 359 points out of 592 which is 60% performance.

On behalf of everyone at Toledo Secondary School Tanga, I would like to welcome you to our official blogspot.
As you may know, we are new but a successful secondary school with 500 pupils on our roll.
Our school has many strengths, the most important ones being located on an area of exceptionally conducive environment, no city noises and other city disturbances but rapidly improving academic performance.
There are many exciting things going on at Toledo secondary school. These are all designed to provide a safe, happy and productive learning environment in which every young person will thrive and develop.
We have built a tremendous team of staff. Our school is one of the leading school in terms of good number of teachers despite the fact that most of community schools in Tanzania are facing acute shortage of teachers. This team has driven up standards of achievement. Our modern curriculum is designed to deliver "education for success".
In last years form two national examination results, we managed to have 99.3 % pass, whereby out of 134 students only 2 failed the exam.
We have created some "state of the art" teaching environment and our well arranged lawns and shade tree all around the school beautifies the school and the fresh air which surrounds the school compounds attracts many students to join our school.

KIKAO CHA WAZAZI 24/12/2007

Kikao kilifunguliwa na Mkuu wa shule saa sita kamili mchana.
Wazazi walipata nafasi ya kutambulishwa uongozi wa shule na taarifa fupi ya shule, taarifa iliyotolewa na Mkuu wa shule.

Baada ya utambulisho, Mkuu wa shule ambaye ndiye aliyekuwa mwenyekiti wa kikao hicho, aliwaeleza wazazi madhumuni ya mkutano , ambapo aliwaeleza wazazi kuwa nia ya kuwaita ni kuwatambulisha aina ya shule na utaratibu wa uendeshaji wa shule hii.
Aliwaeleza wazazi kuwa pamoja na kwamba shule hii inapaswa kuendeshwa na serikali, bado yapo mahitaji ambayo serikali haijaweza kuyatimiza, na hivyo kuwepo na umuhimu wa wazazi kuchangia gharama za uendeshaji.
Baada ya hapo, Mkuu wa shule alimkaribisha Ndugu Mbaraka Pemba ambaye aliwakilisha kamati ya ujenzi na ambaye ni katibu wa kamati hiyo ili kueleza juu ya hatua zilizofikiwa kuhusu ujenzi wa madarasa ya wanafunzi wa kidato cha kwanza 2008.

Bwana Pemba aliwaambia wazazi wasiwe na wasiwasi, kwani watoto wao wataingia darasani kama ilivyokusudiwa kutokana na mipango iliyopangwa na kamati ya ujenzi ya shule na ambayo ilipitishwa na kikao cha bodi ya shule pia.

Mipango hiyo ni ya kukusanya michango kama ifuatavyo:-
Wananchi wa kata 4 wanategemewa kuchangia 2500/= kwa kila kaya.
Kila shule ya msingi itachangia 100,000/=, ambapo zipo shule nne hivyo kupata 400,000/=
kila mwanafunzi shule yamsingi atachangia 200/= wanategemea 800,000/= .
Wazazi wa wanafunzi,Toledo Sec. watachangia 23,000 x 300 = 6,900,000 /=

Akasema kuwa pamoja na michango hii ya wazazi, bado haitoshi kuweza kumalizia madarasa sita yanayotakiwa kwa mwaka huu 2008, na hivyo akasema wahisani mbalimbali pamoja na Halmashauri wataombwa kusaidia.

Pia katibu aliwaomba wazazi kukubali kuchangia gharama za kutengeneza madawati kwa ajili ya watoto wao, maana halmashauri ina mzigo mkubwa ambao haitaweza kukamilisha hadi kutoa madawati kwa wanafunzi wa kidato cha kwanza mwaka huu. Hivyo akawaomba kuchangia shlingi 45,000/= kwa kila mtoto ili kununulia madawati hayo.
Dawati @ 45,000 x 160 = 7,520,000 baada ya maelezo hayo, wazazi walianza kuuliza maswali.
SWALI: hivi hakuna sehemu ya kusomea hawa wanafunzi wa kidato cha kwanza bila kujenga haya madarasa mapya? Vipi kuhusu muda wa kulipia Ujenzi?

JIBU: Katibu wa kamati ya ujenzi alijibu swali hilo kwa kusema hakuna sehemu ya kuwaweka wanafunzi hao kwa sasa labda Mkuu wa shule atafute njia zake ili kuwaweka wanafunzi hawa kwa muda kabla madarasa yao hayajakamilika, nakuwaomba wazazi wajitahidi kutoa hizo pesa mapema ili ziweze kusaidia kumaliza ujenzi wa madarasa manne ya kidato cha kwanza 2008.


SWALI: Risiti ni kitu muhimu sana kwa kila pesa, kutakuwa na risiti juu ya hii michango ya Ujenzi na Dawati?

JIBU: Katibu alijibu swali hilo kwa kusema, yeye ataandaa kitabu cha risiti na shule ya Toledo ndio itakayo kusanya hizo pesa na itatoa hizo risiti ambazo ni za kamati ya ujenzi sio risiti za Toledo Sekondari.


SWALI: Kwanini shule imeitwa Toledo?
JIBU: Mkuu wa shule alisema Toledo ni jina lililotokana na urafiki kati ya jiji la Tanga na jiji la Toledo la Marekani kwa hiyo ni katika kuimarisha urafiki kati ya majiji haya mawili.

Pia Mkuu wa shule aliwaomba wazazi washirikiane na shule katika kushughulikia tabia na nidhamu za wanafunzi pamoja na masomo kwa watoto wao. Mkuu wa shule alisema bila nidhamu hakuna maendeleo kielimu. Suala la utoro kwa wanafunzi pia liliongelewa na mkuu wa shule kwa kuomba ushirikiano wa karibu sana na wazazi.

Mkuu wa shule pia aliwaomba wazazi kuwa na uatamaduni wa kuwanunulia watoto wao vitabu kwani vya shule ni vichache sana.

Shule ina upungufu wa waalimu wa somo la Biolojia na Kemia, hivyo ina mpango wa kuajiri mwalimu wa Chemistry/Biology kwani kulikuwa na mwalimu mmoja tu alisema mkuu wa shule, pamoja Katibu Muhtasi.

Michango ya shule

Mkuu wa shule aliwaelezea wazazi juu ya umuhimu wa kuchangia taaluma, ulinzi pamoja na kutoa ada ya shule.
Mkuu wa shule aliwaomba wazazi wawe natabia ya kulipa ada kidogo kidogo kila mwezi ili wasingoje deni kuwa kubwa.

Mkuu wa shule aliwaomba wazazi kulipa Ths.81,000/= au 85,000/=kwa ajili ya ada, sare na michango mbalimbali ya shule ukiwemo wa Mlinzi 10,000/= kwa mwaka na Ths.10,000/- za taaluma kwa mwaka. Fedha hizi zitatolewa kwa awamu, kidogo kidogo ndani ya mwaka.

Mkuu wa shule alieleza kuwa Mchango wa Mlinzi ni kutokana na hali ya usalama ulivyo mbaya katika eneo iliko shule ambapo kumekuwa na matukio mbalimbali ya wizi wa vifaa vya shule toka shule ilipoanza, ikiwepo kuibwa kwa vyoo , milango, bati na vifaa vingine.

Kuhusu mchango wa taaluma, Mkuu wa shule alieleza wazazi kuwa fedha hiyo itatumika kulipa mshahara kwa mwalimu mmoja wa kemia na biolojia, na hesabu, pamoja na katibu muhtasi. Pia mchango huu utatumika kuendeshea mitihani ya majaribio ya kila mara na kulipa waalimu watakaojitolea kufundisha muda wa ziada wanafunzi wenye uelewa wa taratibu (Remedial classes)
Mkuu wa shule alieleza kuwa mahitaji yote hayo yapo katika fomu ya kujiunga, ambayo kila mzazi atapewa.


Wazazi walikubaliana na maelezo hayo kukubali kulipa 23,000/= za ujenzi pamoja na 45,000/= za dawati ili watoto wao wasome, Pamoja na kulipa ada na michango mingine.
Jumla ya wazazi 77 walihudhuria kikao hicho.


Kikao kilifungwa saa saba na robo mchana kwa mkuu wa shule kuwashukuru wazazi kwa uvumilivu wao, na kuwaomba kuwa karibu na utawala wa shule kwa ajili ya maendeleo ya watoto wao.
